A New City — Yeni Bir Şehir

Elif is twenty years old. She is from Bursa, in Turkey. Today she is in Dublin. She is a new student here.

The city is big and green. It is raining, but Elif is happy. She has a map, but she is lost. Where is Oak Street? She asks a young man. "Excuse me, where is Oak Street?" "It is near the park," he says. "I can walk with you."

They walk and talk about the city. His name is Liam. He likes football and Turkish tea.

On Oak Street, Elif stops at number seven. "This is my new house," she says. Liam laughs and opens the door. "And this is my house too!" Liam is her new flatmate!

Inside, there is a cup of hot tea. "Welcome to Dublin, Elif!"
